I'm in Iowa until Sunday. Saw a brown thrasher up here- that's a new Iowa state bird for me. That's good at least. Still waiting on news on the house offer in phoenix. Fingers crossed. Hope the suns and thunder win tomorrow.

Introducing the Ryans' Movie Quest. The Ryans' dream is to see every movie on the "AFI top 100 movies" list and every movie that has won an "Oscar for Best Picture". There is some overlap between the two lists, and in 2007 the AFI updated the list to represent the new generation of films (replacing 23 of the films). The following is a link to the Movie Quest spreadsheet where you can follow our progress. Movies that only bR or gR have seen (e.g. Rocky) and movies that we cannot confidently recall in entirety (e.g. Unforgiven) are not counted as seen. You can also see who watched each movie with us when applicable. We will post comments on select movies as we watch them.

blerging blogging title

So I was looking for a name for my blog url. All of the great and witty ones I thought of were taken, and all by someone who hasn't updated their blog since around 2002. And I'm thinking wow, these folks are wasting so much of the internets with their lack of follow-through. Plus they are hoarding all the good urls. So I compromised my address from "blerg" to "blerging". If you don't know what blerg means, go watch some 30 Rock. Stay tuned for tons of awesomeness, fun and insight into my complicated, multi-faceted, intricately beautiful life.
